Julia and Mandy have both developed a deep love of design while enhancing their own homes and serving as project managers for extensive home renovations.  Julia has honed her design skills over the past 15 years while updating an original 1960s ranch and drafting the building and design plans for her home’s expansive addition.  The master bathroom and back porch designs from Julia’s addition are currently featured in her contractor’s work portfolio.  Apart from personal projects, Julia consults on interior design for friends and colleagues, as well as for a Cary, NC-based tile design and production studio.  Mandy’s talents have expanded to include graphic design work for local non-profits, online retail, and currently for a local private school in Wilmington, NC.  Julia and Mandy each hold a Master's Degree, Julia in Secondary Education, and Mandy in Nutrition, and both had thriving careers in correlating fields prior to having children.  The meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and professionalism that lead to their career success are inherent to Southern Porch Design Company’s design work and business conduct.
